Nice work.  Would love to do the same but I don't think my faded 'O' Level woodwork skills are upto it!

Oi! I bloody made that fretboard as well you know
i was referring to the above comment not what you're doing, if you built that the way i got taught it would take bloody months by hand, or mostly anyway, we haven't got time for that

I'll have a go one day, maybe as a course or something.  And a Junior would be a likely choice of guitar to make.

Lol I'm trying but my ramblings aren't sometimes understood, teaching is different to just me getting on with it

If i do more teaching there will be much more hand tools involved, i look at it as if you want to do more at home, you don't need that many tools, even the fret slots are marked out by hand

Hokay!!!!! A few more pics from the farm...

Handle cover glued on to the handle using dead animals and tightly bound using an inner tube from my mums wheelchair (it’s ok, she never goes out anyway).

    Handle marked out for carving...

    Carving the handle:

    Handle Achilles shaped.

    Handle panty line shaped.

Handle roughed out but looking lubberly.

    Sexy side view.

Coy “laying on its front back to camera” shot.

Handle fitted into the handle holder socket...

And again from tbe front (dead animal product shown on handle cover - that will be cleaned up at some point)

So there you go!... poke that up your bum holes Gibson... :)

Indeed,  proper hot hide glue and the old fretscale something Gibson definitely don't do

Starting to look like a guitar now, finally

From last week, the handle finally nailed into the handle holder using dead animal products...

Going to be a bitch to play with the clamps on it tho’!...

Top job, been a good one this.

It's giving me motivation to go with the Strat body I made (and the planed block of maple, and the planed bird's-eye fretboard blank, and the ruler thingummy for the fretslot jig I cut the parts for, and the truss rod and the fretwire and and and...) yeah I ran out of steam and I've no idea why.

I need to keep reading this thread - keep up the good work chap

    Hokay!...

decided to remove the clamps from the handle as it was suggested it might hamper playing it...

so... pics of the handle sticky taped in to the handle holder socket below!!!!!

Little bit more work and itll it’ll be ready for paint...

purple sparkle was a genuine 50’s colour right? Right?...
