Plaintop Les Pauls with mineral flecks ?

Prompted by the 58-mania thread, anyone got examples of plain-ish top LPs with those black mineral flecks in them (I suppose a bit a la the Greeny LP) - I fucking LOVE that sort of finish - ironically I'd pay extra for it!

+1 on that type of finish, and I don't even play LP's.

I think someone is currently selling one of those recent R8's that has this kind of finish.  Looks really cool I think.

I had the Collector's Choice No.15 Greg Martin for a while.  The best looking Les Paul I've ever seen imo, I just loved the faded lemon with small flecks that it had.  I guess they may have been considered imperfections when they first came out but to me they just add character and give it something else.  I'll try and dig out a pic if I've still got one.

^ Yes I know what you mean - it's been a while since I looked at that guitar and I had it in my head they were flecks but clearly just the ones at the back are.  Funny what the mind does.  But yes - to me it's a great looking Les Paul.

most of my builds are like that, I've got one strung up now that has loads of flecking, I'm starting finishing this week, I've been playing it for ages now so it needs doing

This is my 52 conversion.  The flecks are what made me recognise it on the cover of Atlantic Blues Guitar.

There’s no particular rush mate. If someone was desperate I’d let it go - have the R7, R8, R4 and Ryders too. An easy either way
