Guitar modifications?

Hey I’m wondering if anyone knows whether it’s possible to get a black scratch plate to replace the original scratch plate on a squier jazzmaster? This probably sounds like a stupid question I just need explanations on the cost and how to do it

replacement should be pretty simple, just a question of undoing all the screws, removing the knobs and then undoing the nuts on the volume and tone pots. You only need screwdrivers and a spanner.

Just double check all the pickup spacing and switches are in the right place. I modified my Fender Mex JM and fitted a new scratch plate where the pickup location at the neck was about 4mm south of where I needed it to be. Only 5 minutes with the router but that’s definitely more effort than a few screwdrivers.
