I fancy swapping up my drive/distortion pedals but what I'm after is as follows.

Must be a dual pedal
Side 1 either klone or TS
Side 2 MIAB like a dirty little secret but must do the whole JCM 800 thing

Probably the sensible thing to do is buy a klone and a DLS!!!

I had a mk1 Jekyll & Hyde; should never have sold it. Excellent pedal.

Havent had one for years - but the valve  Blackstar HT Dual might fit the bill ?  or maybe the LT version ?

I had a Jekyll and Hyde, the coffin shaped silver box (mk 1 I think?). Did the tubescreamer bit fine but it didn’t get near a JCM800 sound. Although maybe the later versions are better/different?

The best MIAB pedal I’ve found is the DLS, it absolutely nails what I think of as the classic Marshall tone. The custom Juansolo build is actually a great idea, John’s stuff is excellent and he’ll build exactly what you want.

I had the first the VS J&H first red version.

The Ts side was too gainy and I never liked the overly compressed red side. They sounded great when combined for leads.

If you are a dab hand at soldering, you can put any two fuzzdog pedal clones you like in one enclosure. It's very satisfying and the possibilities are endless. Also probably way cheaper.
