NPD: Strymon Timeline

mellowsunmellowsun Frets: 2422
Add me to the growing list of TFB Timeline users! Got a good deal from HotroxUK for £349 and it arrived next day.

What an amazing piece of kit, it's really inspiring to use and makes playing guitar fun again. Favourite delay types are: Pattern, Dual, Tape, Lo-Fi, Ice and Reverse. The looper is great, particularly the way you can route it dynamically pre or post FX, and leave it running in the background while you change patches for jamming over with a different delay line.

Now of course there's the temptation to get a Big Sky to complement it!

I can relate to that.  My wife let me have the Timeline for Christmas.  It's my birthday next week!

I had a wee splurge a few months back and got all 3 of the big Strymons. Awesome gear, although I'm addicted and I do more tap dancing than anything else.

The main reason I got this to replace my el capistan is the midi function really. I can now buy a midi controller to select presets with one click etc. Alongside my möbius. Expensive decision but I hate tap dancing

Hmm, yeah, the MIDI controller route looks to be a good idea, as I'm not too keen on tap dancing either, and I like the idea of having greater control of the looper.

Can you recommend a good MIDI controller?

Of course, I'm going to need a two-amp setup as well to make the most of the stereo!

Yeah after a lot of research and budget restraints I've been looking at Disaster Area's DMC-6D. About the same size as the timeline and has the important (for me) display to view your preset number.

They are in USA but easy enough to ship :)
