FINISHED - My partscaster Strat build

TIme to start building my strat from bits I bought a while back, as I have a week off

I have a guitarbuild alder body, and rebelrelic vintage style neck with rosewood board and clay dots.

Wanted a decent burst finish, so a while ago @lamf68 ;; did a fantastic nitro 3 tone burst ,and vintage tint on the neck with decals.

The pics come up as links on my phone but I can see them ok. Lovely finish,  I don’t normally like sunbursts but that’s rather tasty. Looking forward to seeing this finished. What pickups are going in?

Good progress so far..  Shielding done, all holes drilled, jack plate and bridge fitted, pickguard all wired up.

Parts used -

Guitarbuild Alder body
Rebel Relic neck, slab rosewood board with clay dots
Seymour Duncan SSL1 California 50's pickups.
Wilkinson Trem with steel block
Vintage style tuners
CTS pots and Switchcraft switch. (5 way)
Parchment guard and knobs (should I change to mint?)
Nitro finish by @lamf68 , Thanks again chap, please check him out if you need a top notch paint job.

Hope it ages nicely. The paint has already nicely sunk into the grain as the pics show.
I was going for a John Frusciante tone, the pickups are spot on for what I wanted.

Only problem I have is the 15th fret isn't seated properly, doesnt appear to have popped out because it really won't budge. Need to get that sorted.

That's a great looking Strat. The plastics suit the fine sunburst finish I think, some of the mint green/aged white plastics can look a bit extreme (and unrealistic).

Thanks man! Yeah I think I'm going to leave it, had a few hours playing and the guard looks better already

Thanks, a bit maybe but I won't be selling it. And if I did I'd remove it.

Well, we all know it's not a Fender. But it's a mighty fine homage to a Fender. If I'd made that, I'd want a Fender logo on it to look right, but I'd also want to not have a Fender logo on it because I'd know it's not a Fender. Conflicted. I'd probably end up with a custom logo that looks right from a distance, Tokai Springysound style.

Cheers! It took me ages to find a neck with clay dots, was about to make some dots shortly before finding that one!
