I went to the Colston Hall in Bristol on Thursday evening and experienced this.
It was a showing of Hitchcocks Psycho with a full blown string orchestra. To hear the main theme being played along was spine tingling. Easily one of the best things I've experienced. I'm a bit of a Hitchcock fan, so to me it was going to be winner. I just hope they do the same thing with Vertigo
We did have one asshole who was threatening people when they were coming back from the toilet. Usual macho bs with some cursing, which really spoiled the atmosphere. Thank god for the staff who kicked him out.....everybody clapped and one person made the famous staccato string stabbing sounds. Which got a few laughs. Always one person spoiling it for everyone else. But yes if this is a national showing, or it comes up again, then go for it!
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.
