1987 Gibson EDS-1275 Preowned by Steve Clarke from Def Leppard
Now, here is something you don’t see every day, a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a vintage piece that has a true rock star heritage. This guitar is rare and desirable on its own merits but there more than vintage looks to her, This guitar once belonged to the late great def Leppard riffmeister Steve Clarke. Steve was endorsed by Gibson, in the 80’s and this is one of the pieces he was given by Gibson in 1988. This is one of two known white Gibson eds-1275 that Steve Clarke owned (the other being the one with the unique pickups seen on the hysteria tour) along the side of the case you can see it still has the touring label still on, written by mike rogers, Def Leppards guitar tech at the time.

Steve gave this guitar to his friend stevie Roberts (steve ve suicide)sometime after the hysteria tour. Stevie played drums with the punk rock n roll band the UK subs. The guitar comes with a signed letter from stevie confirming the provenance of the piece. As we know a 1987 gibson eds-1275’s command a pretty penny on their own especially in white. This particular one has had a couple of modifications. First up id the bridge pickups on the 12 string has been changed to a Seymour duncan sd slash and the tuners have been upgraded to mini schaller's (Steve was known for doing messing with his guitars a lot, but cannot confirm it was done by his tech) the guitar itself is a great example from the year and plays fantastic as has had a full setup and fettle upon reaching me by the genius that is chris preston.

(i'm open to all types of guitar of value, no amps though i'm afraid) If your in the uk I welcome you come and have a play on a true piece of rock history, or if your a serious buyer i am prepared to travel to you to audition the instrument.
