Mini pedalboard on a budget

The community learning course that I’ve been attending now for a while involves 3-4 bands that need to swap around on a small stage as quickly as possible in class with the minimum of fuss (we also have to use the College’s Orange Crush 30’s).

So for the princely sum of approx £10 I knocked this up over the last couple of days:

Couple of bits of wood and some paint out of the shed; Velcro, feet, patch lead & daisychain cable (cut to length) from the parts drawer; rechargeable battery box, plus one with standard aa’s as a spare - not the prettiest, but it does the job.

I now have clean (just the amp), crunch & boost (actually light crunch or heavier crunch by flicking between plexi & blue modes) and just one lead from pedal to amp.

Could even add one of those cheap rechargeable wireless things from amazon for a completely wireless solution but we’ll see how this goes for now.

  • Nice!  I love the Bogner pedals they just sound so beautifully saturated and glorious.    This is one just off the cuff but if you need to expand the future I have a larger board that I'd give away!

  • You did well to get a Bognor pedal for less than £10 ;)
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

    Didn’t I just ;)

It worked perfectly - lasted the full three hours, no hum/buzz & easy to setup/take down. Job done :)
