recommend a good, free reverb plugin for reaper?

title kinda says it all. the stock ones seem a whole heap of shite. especially for vocals. maybe I'm using them wrong but i can't seem to get anything nice out of them at all?

    Ambience is quite good.

I've got Ambience and Glaceverb among others.

    What host are you using??

I'd spend the 50$ on ValhallaRoom. It is class.

I'm sorry I have no idea what that means. I'm using a mac with reaper and a focusrite 2i2

Wow comments gone crazy on my phone???

Cash wise I can't really afford to splash out anything on stuff at the mo. Had issues downloading the above free plugins. Can't seem to get em to work. Anyone else had issues???

I feel this is by far the best free VST reverb by a long, long, long, long way.

+1 I used that on everything I did when I used Reaper.

The cockos ones in reaper are actually really good, loads of stuff you can do with them. Just not very fancy looking.

I just can't seem to get a nice sound out of them for vocals. I've tweaked and tweaked but it always sounds just BAD!

I use Valhalla Room- and all their other plugins- as my first call reverbs, despite owning some of the more expensive bundles (Waves, Lexicon Revs, Eventide etc).
Valhalla plugins really are totally world class and have that Lexicon vibe down.
    $50 a plugin is a total bargain.

They aren't very user friendly, to be fair (at first anyway, easy on CPU though). Worth a go though, you CAN get decent sounds.....honest.

The gate, compression and EQ have some great functions too once you learn how to use them. Among other things.

Check out some tutorials. Some on SOS, IIRC.

I've tried quite a few free reverb plugins within Reaper and the one I use most often is Ambience. It comes with loads of presets which means I can avoid wasting time with my amateurish tweaking.
