Don’t suppose anyone’s got a pcm80/81 surplus to requirements? I’d also consider other models except the PCM 90, which I already own.

Big fan of high end Lex but unless it's a 224x or 480 I'd rather go for the Sony R7 or V77.

  • DPS v77 is great but not sure it's better than the PCM 80/81 imo - get both!! :)
Eventide H3000 is my personal favourite multi fx.

Eventides are lovely - I have the Orville. The Lexicon sound is unique though and probably just edges it for the conventional fx, whereas the eventides are imo best suited for batshit mental territory. Wish I could have the option of having them serviced cheaply though, in case something goes wrong. Eventide’s service charge for an Orville is 300 quid, no matter what the issue is. Are you aware of anyone in the uk that specialises in these units?

Simon Flinn - NW london - is very good, services and repairs old fx units / synths / drum machines. He did my Eventide H949, not sure if the Orville is on his doable list, I’ll PM you his details.

  • Looks like Eventide won’t repair anything older than a 7600 or Eclipse anymore:
