Baseball Caps are an absolute no no....

A Peaky Blinders style flat cap could be good - or a beret worn at a ‘jaunty’ angle....

Everyone knows you’re right - but the hat wearer wishes to avoid the truth - hence the delusion. We all know ‘the’ Edge and Richard Thompson are as bald as coots - but neither of them wish to face that. Which as someone who’s hairline is more Matt Lucas than Robert Plant, I respect....

    I don't think it's necessarily "delusion".

It's possible to be a perfectly happy baldie and not give two hoots about it from one month to the next. But when you see pics or audience video from a gig and the spotlights are distractingly bouncing off that burnished dome, some of us just think, "Well, that's not ideal."

Some blokes look good bald. Some look good in hats.

I’m a baldy but don’t particularly like hats. I’ve yet to find a style that looks reasonably acceptable on me...

    Good luck in your quest!

    Ski mask!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

A Fedora of course......saw a guy wearing one at a gig in Nashville last year, I guess the Stetson’s been done there.
Im quite partial to Tilly hat when hiking but not exactly stage wear.

How about a little-old-lady style shawl wrapped around your head? Prince got away with it, no reason why you can't...

I am convinced that there is some special hat mojo going on if one finds the right hat - in an interesting aside it works in cycling too, I go faster wearing a campagnolo cap than any other and have lots. Alas cycling caps looking totally twatish if your not cycling :(

The edge actually looks better without his hat on...

For practical reasons a hat on stage might be good for baldies. Anyone else sweat under stage lights? For us baldies it doesn’t soak into the hair it just runs straight down our faces!

Don't forget bandanas and wigs, as favoured by bass players.

Big trilby fan here. Though if we are talking performance enhancing props, then may I also suggest the humble pot plant as shown in this live action shot. Improved my playing and well-being enormously

Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me
