Shut windows but keep vents open to prevent condensation when the heating is on

Well, my bedroom windows are currently buggared, so theres a constant inch gap around the top!

I'd usually keep them closed around now ish where the temps dropped to 6 degs, just because my hands and feet are ice and take years to warm up at night.. though I also can't be sleeping if its 'warm', ie anything near 10 degrees outside lol!
The only easy day, was yesterday...

    Wisdom.
My bedroom window only gets fully closed if the temperature is below -5'C. I love being bundled up under a warm duvet with just my face poking out into the chilly room.

No need to worry though. I spent this afternoon "winterizing" my commuting bike. Spiked tyres fitted, mudguards adjusted, brakes & light mounts checked etc.
So it' probably be tropical for another month or so now.
