YES. That is exactly my bag. Especially the burst one. I'd been looking at the new offset Fender hybrid (name eludes me) and wondering about a version with HBs. Hopefully they'll do one of these in their budget range.

Why aren't the normal Doheny guitars over in the UK as yet? 

World Guitars didn't seem to get any in, and the new Andertons/PMT/GG thingy hasn't seemed to advertise the Dohney (USA version) as yet...

I would love to try a full blown USA version.

Yes, i can see that too. Only Hotrox in Nottingham are showing a Doheny, but it's not a USA, just a tribute one.
The UK seem to not see past the Tele/Strat format with G&L, it seems. I found that out when trying to sell my F100 on here and the 'Bay.

Though I'd also like a neck 'bucker and bridge single. Just to be ornery.

Andertons had a Tribute Doheny when I was there a few weeks ago but not a USA model.

I want one more than my next breath. I was hoping they'd do it in charcoal or purple, but, no, only those two colours, and, they don't customise CLF research guitars. >.<

Heyy I've started experimenting with pickup covers...it's impossible to get hold of spares and the guy I bought the guitar off had a lose right hand...
