This may be a decision I come to regret, who knows. This is a beautiful guitar - not a bad word to say on it. Fact is that I dont play guitar enough any more to justify owning it when the money could be more wisely reinvested elsewhere. I'm going down to just the Jaguar.
So, to the guitar. Weighs about 8lbs on the nose, maybe a shade under; has always felt light to me for a Jazzmaster. Beautifully resonant unplugged too, if that's your thing. Back of the neck has been stripped and Tru-oiled, and the binding gently rolled - feels really lovely to play. The neck itself is a chunky beast. Currently strung with Gabriel Tonorio hand wound 11s. 7.25" radius neck with vintage spec fretwire, rosewood board, Alder body, flash-coat Nitro lacquer.
Has a set of Mojos, because...well, why wouldnt it? - the best sounding JM pickups that can be bought as far as I'm concerned. Also has a staytrem bridge, and Staytrem vibrato arm and collet. (originals also in the case). Finally i'll throw in the rather fetching Overdrive strap as pictured.
There are a couple of surface blemishes to the finish; I'm sure I dont need to tell you that these AV Nitro finishes are THIN. I've gigged this guitar since I bought it, so it's been played. That said, I'm careful. I've tried to picture the worst, but I'm happy to take more photos on request.
Whoever ends up with this will be a) very happy, and b) very lucky. The best Jazzmaster I've played.
Comes with the case and all the candy too. (Strap, cable, docs etc etc)
