OK, first off this certainly won't be everyone's cup of tea, and [shock] there's no guitarist! Just Drums, bass and singer/keyboard player.

I like jazz fusion, great musicianship, awesome singers, but that lot doesn't usually come with a degree of pop sensibility. I just found this song by Dirty Loops and for me it is just fabulous. It's the first time in years that I suddenly feel inspired to pick up one of my basses again. I'm buying their album ASAP.

Man, I do actually miss late 90s/early 2000s DnB.

WRT a band that blows you away, I'd say for me it was Everything Everything after they released the Get to Heaven album. Immediately (and will forever be) in my top 3 albums of all time.
