Yes, makes the deal I got over Easter at £299 for the head seem 20% worse! It’s a great amp though.

Not gigging but photek claimed he couldn't get it to break up as much as he wanted when gigging at full power.

I would think if you don't need full cleans you will be fine.

I snagged mine at 8:10 this morning and they were back to full price at 9:20. Give it a go tomorrow morning!

My drummer is pretty loud and I actually found the amp too loud in full power mode to get the lower gain AC/DC level of crunch I wanted, that was through an efficient upright 2x12 can though.

The tone was fantastic, I just needed a more controllable gain structure to be honest.

Maybe, but I prefer 10inch speakers, when I get a chance I'll pop it through a cab but I've had it on @75% and it wasn't uncomfortable

Looking forward to trying mine out against my Bassbreaker 15. I've gigged the Bassbreaker a number of times and it's coped with doing clean sounds although my drummer's doesn't thrash the kit all the time, i.e he knows how to play . I was partly attracted by the 10 inch speaker. Recently been playing a Bassbreaker 007 and a Princeton, two totally different amps, but both have 10 inch speakers and I like the tight, punchy bottom end they seem to both have.

Ha, ha very true! I had been eyeing these up for the last month, but did have enough funds/couldn't really justify full price. Hesitated and missed out last week thinking my partner would see it as a bit frivolous. I mentioned to her how I'd missed out on a great deal thinking she be impressed by my restarint, she just replied "Why? You should have just bought it"....

I felt I needed to experience the Marshall thing. Already got a couple of cabs and a couple of reverbs.

I'll have 5 amps. Oops. Might have to think about which ones to keep. Don't use the Victory V40 much might think about letting that one go.

Yeah same for me. Been moving away from the traditional Fender amp sound. Also after recent experiences with 10 inch speakers that I might prefer them to a 12 inch.

Not quite sure what the deal was with these reductions? Not publicised and odd to have them repeatedly for a few hours each morning, wondered if it's a glitch in the system or do Guitar Guitar do this sort of thing?
