I picked this one up on eBay about 5 years ago for £750, original case and all...

It's a model J-R (Jumbo Rosewood), was built in New Hampshire in the mid 1970s, and is in vgc considering its age, with excellent action and no structural defects. Soundwise I'd say it's in Lowden terrritory, and is a very good fingerpicking guitar.

(It's also going to be up for sale soon, because it just isn't getting played and deserves a bit of TLC, so watch the ad section here!)

Paul Simon played one of those, didn't he. Tried one years ago and quite liked it; very slim neck, though, is yours the same?

Yes, the neck is pretty slim, although not ridiculously so, and very comfortable to play.Paul Simon played them, as well as Jackson Browne... and if the details I've found online are correct, this one was owned by a Mr John Renbourn for a while (although apparently he didn't like it very much)
