A half- decent email service?

What's Hot
That doesn't tie you to an ISP?
That doesn't have arbitrarily low limits on the number of recipients of an email or the number of emails you send in a day?

Don't mind if it costs a nominal amount

I switched to one.Com - hosting rather than just an email provider  so you need a domain, but the email side has been excellent. Unlimited aliases too.

I've been with mac/me/icloud for about 15 years and never had any issues.

Yeah, I use one.com to host my domain and email service.  They've been grand.

I have a domain registered on AWS, but my mail hosted here https://www.zoho.eu/mail (for free).

That's interesting - did you stand up a full EC2 instance for that, or is there a serverless option?

  • I use GMail for personal stuff, and Zoho for any domains I need other than my main one.

I have amended my post to clarify that one.com are a hosting site, not a dating site. Darn you, afro courgette!

      Another Zoho user .

I use gmail but i find it slow and messy , also tried Outlook and the same .  Now i forward my emails from gmail to Zoho  and mostly use that  .  Really impressed with Zoho , it isn't fancy but it is quick and clear and that is all i need .
I get my Gmail forwarded to Zoho so i have a backup incase Zoho closes (yes learnt a lesson before)  and i can still recover them at Gmail .  I am doubling what i do but it doesn't take me to long to delete the rubbish from Gmail and i can't see it (or outlook) ever dissapearing .

Zoho is free  and has 5gb storage space , you can pay if you need more .

Nope, don't use EC2 (apart from mucking around with, but I tend to create a free-tier account for that). My domain is hosted on Route53, and points to an S3 bucket that hosts static content served as HTTP, but my SMTP record for email points to Zoho. That way, my website just costs the data transfer charge (practically zero).

Including the domain hosting, I think I pay about 53p a month.
