This, cheap 2nd hand. I also like the Blues Deville.

    This.

Or check the Yerasov website, superb Fender style amps with high quality build and components.

You won't find anything used so hell take a hit on resale, but if it's a keeper you'll struggle to get a better amp for the price.

My son gigs with a Blues Junior, I gig with a Blues Delux RI. Both really good amps that take pedals well. Also I would add the Peavy Classic 30 to the checkout list.

You might be able to get 68 version of the Princeton Reverb Reissue for £500ish.  That's a great sounding amp.

Having owned both, the Hot Rod Deluxe is a much better amp than the Classic 30.  That 3 sided PCB in the Classic 30 is an abomination.  If it ever goes wrong, it will cost a lot mroe to fix because of the horrible construction to fix.  Even if it doesn't go wrong, it chews up the EL84 power valves, and it uses 4 of them.  It can be very expensive to run.  A pair of 6L6 power valves in the HRD will last 5 times as long as the EL84s in the C30 in my experience, and you only need 2 of them not 4.  The PCB and overall construction in the HRD is a lot better as well.
