Amp loop question

Can you plug a modeller into a loop and a lead into the front end and have both working
ie guitar...into ....a/b amp switcher with 2 outs........one into Kemper and then into loop
.........one direct into front end of amp
and switch between the two

Depends on the amp. On something with a parallel loop it might work, but with a series loop plugging anything in to the return will probably switch off the bypass signal path from the internal preamp.

Ideally you need something like a Boss LS-2, or a simpler version of the same thing - with two selectable loops. Connect the guitar to the input, put the Kemper in one loop and the amp's preamp (from input to FX send) in the other, and the output to the FX return. If the loop is parallel, make sure the mix is set to full up (wet).
