When a keyboard player inspires guitarists and bassists; Rob Araujo..

Just a phenomenal player with an incredible melodic palette.  He's beginning to really make a name for himself.

His cracking synth solo on the end of Tom Misch's "South Of The River" has raised the heads not only of his peers but also of some of our brethren who are keen to adopt his approach into their own guitar playing.

Here are some examples of both guitar and bass players taking on the aforementioned solo, then a video of the original track showing rob playing the solo on his little Korg Microkorg synth and then finally a stunning solo session that Rob did to help promote Spectrasonics' Keyscape.

Sometimes it's good to look to other instruments for inspiration i.e .Robben Ford listens to saxaphone players to help him expand his musical chops.
