I’ve got to take my son to work tomorrow as, apparently, people want to go shopping at 6am on Boxing Day. So, you could probably have turkey in time for breakfast.

I couldn't find a turkey - or a chicken.  So, we had an almost out-of-date Fray Bentos chicken pie with frozen carrots (awful), frozen sprouts (slightly less awful), mashed swede (alright), frozen green beans (dull), peas (peas), yorkshire puddings (nice) and sauteed new potatoes (nice).  Accompanied by a bottle of Shiraz (yum), a bottle of Gower Gold ale (yumyum) and a box of chocolates.  As emergency last-minute Christmas dinners go, it wasn't too bad !

make a note for next year, Christmas will be on 25th December, and the shops will be closed again

Come on guys I think we should tell @Emp_Fab when Christmas will be next year so it doesn't spring up and surprise him again all of a sudden. What do you reckon?
