Helix HX - Silly Question.

edited December 2018 in FX
With the exception of the Stomp I have had every variant of Helix.
I currently have a Helix HX effects which I love and is brilliant for my needs into an amp.
However I am in the process of (another!) gear evaluation/swap round and one of the options is some sort of interface/amp emulation to use between the Helix HX and a PA speaker and/or monitor speaker?
I know I am likely to be inundated with obvious replies of "get the Stomp" etc but was wondering if there is another solution?

Joyo American Sound is not bad and fairly cheap.

  • Various ways you could do it but I would suggest getting an amp in the box type pedal and run it into an IR in the HX. Lack of volume from the pedal obviously won't be a problem as you can boost it. Something like a Wampler Black 65 or Plexidrive would be perfect.

I play guitar and take photos of stuff. I also like beans on toast.

Thanks - amp in box pedal into HX rather than the other way round?

Pedal into one of the loops so you can position it. Definitely needs to go before the IR.

I liked the speaker emulation on the Award Session JD10.

    Also on the Behringer GI400.
