  • Nah that is his JTM45 kit that he got for xmas. But a Thorpy amp isn't a terrible idea!

Aah, I’d read the “things to prepare for namm” as “the amp is coming to namm”.

Though I do recall @ThorpyFX mentioning amps at some point.

Tis a JTM 45 he was building for himself. And I’ll bet it sounds bloody nice too! :)

For clarity....... this was a personal christmas project from a JTM45 Plexi kit....... just for fun really... that being said, we do have an amp design sorted and we are finalising another.. Just have to work out how to manufacture them, bring it to market, etc etc...

anyway... here's the pics of the JTM45 clone build i did:

and its great that Chris @RiftAmps ;amps is just over the way, made it very easy for me to soft start the amp.... and not worry too much about killing the iron

if anyone wants to plug a gap in the market for amps then how about a Marshall 200w 'The Pig' clone- I wouldn't mind squaring the circle back to my youth before I trip off the old coil tap..

A 4 channel Thorpy amp that offered Fender cleans and Marshall gains.... MANY BONERS WOULD BE HAD.....

... oh, and midi.... definitely midi....

    Bye!

A single channel modern sounding high gain head would suit me, like a hot rodded JCM800 with resonance control.
