Shipping amps without original packaging.

I need to ship my VH4 back to Germany to resolve a fault with the midi controller, I foolishly did not keep the original packaging.

 Any recommendations as to what to use to keep the amp safe during transit (and indeed any recommendations for carriers that dont cost an arm / leg).

When I shipped my Matamp a few months back, I ordered from this site. You can buy boxes singularly and they are pretty tough. Plus you'll need a shit load of parcel tape and bubble wrap (although you probably know that).

You can buy polystyrene corner protectors from Amazon too.

Could try  a music shop?  And we always had a shedload of boxes at Bs..If you happen to have a guitar amp Co near you I bet they would help.
