We’ll it’s cheaper than the Timeline in the US.  The Timeline is around £375 in the UK, so it could be £350 ish?
It will be cheaper if you can wait for 6 months.
Except I'm thinking the £ will dive in a little while?.... I dunno.
    This does sound good.
I've got a Catalinbread Echorec which is good enough for live but is kind of a one-trick pony.
This though is the size of a couple of ponies.
Can't really justify it for live but I can see me getting one for playing with at home.
the pound will go back up when we have a stable government, little chance of a general election and zero chance of a Corbyn government. The currency markets have little interest in Brexit however Brexit will effect the political outcome in this country....

    Id just buy it now

What's with the "golden" and "silver" settings?
Poetic bollox or does it allude to anything?

  • Golden ratio...DIG has it too. Some sort of perfect algorithm where the repeats never clash. I think. Silver will be a variation, I'd imagine.

That sounds bloody amazing (Strymon demo post-production allowing). Don't think I'll be buying though as too much money and I really need something that I can save a load of presets on + I currently have a DD500, which I think is pretty damn good. In fact I listened to the demo last night after band rehearsal and was inspired to go and play with my DD500 in stereo set up for a few hours and came up with a bunch of nice new tape settings using the Space Echo, Echoplex and Echorec models and I could save them all to return to.
I have a DD500 (and a Nemesis, and Timeline) and it cannot do the same sort of oscillation tones that the Volante seems to be able to do. When you crank the feedback on the tape models on the DD500 and let it oscillate, you get nasty digital clipping at the output. It's a real shame. Because I love the pedal other than that.
I guess the correct answer is to own both =)...

I do have one these though, that does some pretty amazing oscillations...

Too much for me, but also annoying that the US / UK prices don't corelate across the range.
Maybe because it is new and prices will come down, but somebody is taking the piss somewhere.

    Volante $399 = £399
    Timeline $449 = £399 (and available for £374)

    The Volante will come down.

Not so sure about other pedals but the American Original 60's Tele is about £150 cheaper now than it was just after release.

If £150 comes of the Volante I'm in ;)

It is still more over there but that US price will not include tax. Its the same here in Canada it gets added at checkout not included like VAT is over there. Dont know why, its not like you can opt out or anything!
Pain in the arse frankly as you constantly have to mentally calculate the extra percentage in provincial/federal tax.

I've just watched the video on YouTube and can see my El Capistan quivering in the corner of the room! I'm just wondering if it'll fit on my pedaltrain metro if I take off the El Cap? I like this new pedal very much indeed!
Tomorrow will be a good day.

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
