I use it for most of my builds, but to show off natural wood, not with a solid colour.

Do not underestimate the Oil On/ Oil Off cycles - lots of work.  But totally worth it !

Great for natural wood, I also find it fine for stained wood (although there are specific techniques for this) but, as the others have said, not the finish for solid colours.

In terms of examples, this is a natural wood finish just done:

Not coloured but you can see the extra depth it brings out provided you can see some grain through a stain I think it'll work well.
