Reprofile Roasted Maple Neck

What's Hot
Hey, guys - I've got a Warmoth roasted maple neck on my Tele: it's great, but it's a fatback, about baseball bat size.

Would it be feasible to take a millimeter or so off the back? Flatten it out a little?

Yes (probably!) I'd use a scraper or Stanley knife blade to gradually shave the neck, check often as small amount removed can feel like a lot, my only concern would be how deep the truss rod rout is and the danger of going through to it, although on a fat neck I very much doubt it will be an issue.
I just did something similar to a Fat Tele neck reprofiling it to a vee from the nut to the seventh fret in an attempt to copy the profile of my Original 50's Strat, it worked very well

Also you get a lot of change of feeling the heft by working on the shoulders, more C or V then D, sort of thing.
