I think the key phrase is "looks amazing hung on a wall".

I don't totally hate Minarik guitars.  The body shapes and sheer excess of bling are so extreme that at least they're interesting.  They look like they were designed by a bloke who was sacked from BC Rich for taking things just that bit too far.* 

(* Did he actually come from BC Rich?  They really do have some similarities.)

Their target market appears to be "stage guitarist for GWAR" which is well defined, but a bit niche.

Increased mass on the left side of the body accents low frequencies, and reduced mass on the right side increases the voice-like high frequencies. Each individual flame tongue was designed to produce a certain frequency response, giving the Minarik Inferno the most balanced and widest tone spectrum unmatched by any other guitar on the market today.

I've heard worse from the tonewood crowd in this forum.
