    Hmm. Either:
LP Junior or Special of some description - most likely in black, tort fretboard, grover tuners

Tele Deluxe - maybe a sig model Friedman Vintage T

Special edition Dunable Cyclops - tort board

    ..you get the idea.

Quite why anyone would give a toss that it had my signature on it I don't know.

Maple, satin necked LP with a volute, easy access neck joint and perhaps a P90 in the neck position. It'd probably have Gibson on the headstock but tbh, I wouldn't really care. Would sell about three models before being declared one of the least successful models that the big G has ever had and becomes a laughing stock.

  • Flamed Maple/Mahogany/Maple/Ebony ESP M style, natural satin neck, see through satin black/grey finish, H-H, vol/vol, 3 way switch, tune-o-matic and string through bridge... I think that's it.

I'd like a call from PRS, neck and fret dimensions identical to my 98 SG, 6100 fret wire. Possibly with a trem system, Solid mahogany, the Mira is pretty close to what I'd want, nothing too flash with trapezoid inlays.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.

    Some fantastic answers!

Still thinking of mine, however it would be strat shaped with a maple neck.

I'd love sea foam green, but with a twist, I'd want a sparkle effect!

PRS Custom 22 hardtail with the 5 way blade and volume control positioned like a Strat and wired with half out of phase in position two, full bridge partial neck in position 4 and two mini toggles for partial splits, Nickel covered lowish output pickups.

    I'd buy that.

Mine would be a single cut body, 25.5" scale, compound radius neck around 12" to 16", locking tuners, 22 jumbo stainless frets, string through body, H/S/H with coil split in a solid colour with a very slight sparkle finish.
Colour to be chosen by Mrs baldy.

  • If Gibson rang me, I would tell them to forget my signature, just give me a Chris Cornell ES-335 in olive green with a bigsby, the current run is only 250.

Yamaha SG1300T with Gotoh 510, locking tuners & 6100 fretwire. One volume, one tone and a Freeway 3x3 switch. I'd move the strap point to behind the top horn. I'd have a solid top and an oil finished back and neck to keep the cost down. I'd also change the radius to 10".

Oooh - I love that! You are clearly a man of good taste. I really like your LP on the other thread too:

  • Mine would be some sort of Les Paul with a decent heel
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • Mine would be a Fender Jazzmaster with Mojo pickups, Staytrem bridge and my own design tremolo arm (I make my own trem arms for my offsets). The neck would have a soft V profile, rosewood fretboard with big blocks & binding.

Finish would be green metalflake with matching headstock.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

Wow for the Les Paul Lite DC

  • Either an HSS version of the MusicMan Albert Lee. Lightweight mahogany body, rosewood or roasted maple neck.
Or a PRS DGT, stock. Not even bothered about the truss rod cover as my initials are DG.

Hmmnnn ...... I'd say Tele shape and headstock (but headstock reversed), 22 frets, HB bridge, P90 neck, SC in the middle. Callaham 6 screw trem and the whole thing medium relic. Single tone, Single volume but push push to split HB. Other pot is push push blower switch.

this guitar is 85% what I have built already, and I like it!

  • Interesting question.... Do I go for an upgraded version of "my" guitar or something I'd like to build?

    The build-
    Jazzmaster.
Same neck as the Mascis- jumbo frets, satin finish. Rosewood fingerboard.
    Staytrem
    Light relic metallic blue nitro.

    Here's where it gets weird.
    2 Seymour Duncan P-rails pickups.
Instead of the rollers there are three way switches for the pickups for Single/P90/HB
The rhythm selector simply bypasses the vol/tone & sends the output of the selected pickups direct to the jack.

My own existing signature model is an Esquire with Oil City alligator 90 & Eldred wiring.
