    A great shame; he was only 68...not much older than me.
    I had the good fortune to meet him in 1993 at G.I.T. Wapping, a very nice man.
    A few years later I was pleasantly surprised to clock him with Amos Garrett at the Borderline.
    Very fine musician - not just a drummer either.
