I'm generally not a fan of analogue delays, and the Strymon DIG is my go-to because it stays very clean but can sound nice and warm with the help of the high cut filter, especially in 12-bit mode.
However, I almost never use the second delay and can live without tap tempo.
I could do with a less expensive, smaller backup – ideally battery-powered, though that's certainly not a deal-breaker. Has anybody encountered a digital delay that can be warmed up in a manner similar to the DIG – i.e. with some sort of filter or tone control – or voiced that way to begin with?
