The early release MIJ CS-3’s used the same chip as found in the CS-2. They didn’t sound like the CS-2 though imo.

Yep! saw that, thanks mate, the seller bought it for £53 originally including box etc, I’ve matched up the serial number to sold listings, he’s also annoyingly not selling with box and manual now.
