Any views on these? Thinking about picking a recording version up and interested to know about the quality of the attenuation component.

Still mulling the graphic EQ component. Looks like a great idea but they seem to have plotted a limited number of curves for it.

I've no interest in the Ox. Mac only apps etc. I looked at the 2 notes Reload, but the idea of it using an on board power amp feels wrong for some reason. The Fryette Power station I could forgive for having a power amp because of the effects loop, but the power amp is a tube power amp and I can't be bothered with yet another thing that has to be potentially retubed, especially when biasing is a factory set thing.

I've got the standard Rock Crusher and have used it at home and live.

It reacts to some amps better than others.

I found it didn't like the higher gain Marshall circuits, but was good with Budda, Matchless Mesa and Fender types.
Strangely it works fine with Friedman amps too.

Big lump of a thing though, but it's well made and feels like it'll last forever.

I bought mine years ago, it's sat in a bag since a I got a Kemper, but I can't see me getting rid of it because it works so well with so many different amps.

I have a standard version. I haven't ever used it with anything bugger than a 30watt amp. It is a great tool though and I've no need for it anymore so could move it your way if you need it.

I use a standard Rockcrusher and have no complaints, it does it's job admirably although I'm not trying to heavily attenuate. It's as solid as a rock (excuse the pun) and will last a life time.

So the attenuation section is getting a solid thumbs up so far, cheers folks. I'm re-evaluating the 2 notes, but don't have enough info on how the power amp colours the signal from the amp if at all.

Still leaning toward the Rockcrusher recording for the tweakability of the speaker emulation which is on board the unit.

If you don’t like the speaker sim built in, I had good luck with the regular rock crusher and plug-in IRs.

I had good luck with revalver’s cabs and Two Notes. I’m partial to my Ox now for its simplicity and built-in EQ/comp.

If you've had a 2 notes Reload, is it possible to record Direct for the guitar and monitor live through the speaker cab simultaneously using just the Reload? Or do you have to monitor the direct signal via amp models in whatever software is being used?

Thanks! I actually just used the two notes software in Ableton and monitored there. The pass through signal from the rockcrusher I could have done whatever I wanted to with.
