Simple, acoustic sim pedal that won't break the bank?

Anyone know of such a thing?

Preferably one that actually works

Boss AC-2 or AC-3. The AC-2 is analogue, the AC-3 is digital and probably sounds better.

Neither of them sound that good in isolation, but passable in a band mix.

You could also just use an EQ pedal DI’d into the desk, which works quite well with some guitars.

I've had my AC-3 for more than 10 years and I won't part with it.  It has two outputs.  If only one output is used it sends the simulated sound to your guitar amp but, for best results, use both outputs and send the acoustic sim to an acoustic amp or direct to the PA.

It doesn't sound like a mic'd acoustic but it is passable in a mix.  The other guitarist in the band is using mine as I have a 'profile' of an acoustic sim in my Kemper.
