Putting the feelers out for a MJW combo. Goldstar, Roadstar or Electra seem to tick the boxes. But mostly the Goldstar or Electra.

I’ve got an MJW Electra Custom MK I 2x12 combo I’m looking to sell/trade for a Fender amp. It’s an incredible amp, based on a Mesa Boogie MK I. I’m looking for £750, based near Leeds/Castleford.

I used to own that Martamp and it’s bloody brilliant.

Aha I did stumble upon an old thread and thought it might've belonged to you. And I listened to some of the tracks and it sounds great!

Anyway, I'll let you know what I think as I should have it in my possession tomorrow. If this demo is anything to go by, I'm quite keen to put a Tubescreamer in front of it too!...

Thanks @BrianC. It was good to meet you too. And thanks again for delivering it to me, that was really good of you. I hope you enjoyed the rest of the day in York. Thanks also to @notonlybutalso for pointing the amp out and putting us in touch and @dombennison for providing a screen shot solution due to me not having Facebook. 

As for the amp, it's truly amazing. It's almost impossible to get a bad sound out of it. My favourite so far is every dial around 1 o'clock, boost on, volume around 9 o'clock – it produces this wonderfully harmonic edge-of-break-up tone that is so suited to my playing. I absolutely love it and can't wait to throw a tube screamer in front of it next week.

I guess the most important thanks goes to @martinw for making cracking amps on our own soil. When they're this good, why look any further?

Glad I could do my own small part mate. If I hadn't bought an amp the week before I would have snapped his hand off, you are a lucky guy! Enjoy :-)
