Playing live in a band for the first time in ... years this Saturday.

I am getting a little excited about the new bands (Broken Idols) debut gig this weekend. Just need to share with people who might appreciate why I am like a 9 year old waiting for a Christmas. Also, if you are attending the Punk Valentine all-day event at the Fiery Bird in Woking, then we are the first act (12.30 lunchtime). I can guarantee there will no queue for the bar... 

So, for the old gigging hands here, any obvious or not so obvious things I ought to be thinking about or doing on my first outing in, I think, 34 years?

And if you are there, I am the bass player, come over and have a chat.

Save your drinking to afterwards. I returned to playing after a break about five years ago and let the nerves get the better of me by breaking the two-pint-rule I used to follow.

Nowadays I save the drinking until after I come home and feel much better for it!

Well that was wonderful. Apart from knocking off a 28 minute set in 20, a few fluff's and not getting the monitoring sorted, it was a great experience.  @pintspiller I have had a zero alcohol before and during playing rule for years. Obviously had a few afterwards. Looking forward to gig No. 2 in May.
