My battery is low, and it's getting dark

Is it weird to get emotional about a robot?  Because it legitimately got a tear in my eye.  I'm such a bloody nerd.

I know.  It’s OK hun.  I pressed the power button on my PC last night and it said “Shutting Down”.  I haven’t been the same since.

I think this is dramatising it a bit too much. The computer didn't say 'My battery is low and it's getting dark', the translated message would be more like:

Altitude: 50m
Light level: 8%
Equipment Reading 1: 6
...
Lots more diagnostic information and readings
... 
Battery: 5%

And that is a lot of translation added, the actual message would just be the numerical parts send as a string of 1's and 0's with checksums every so offen to check for corruption.

Wrong....  It actually said “Please help me!  I’m scared and lonely.  My only friend died a few years ago and I can still see his body.  I’m trying to call for help but I can’t shout loud enough and I’m only little.  It’s really cold here and my eyes are sore.  Please can someone help me..... please”.
