Pornhub's free, so my answer is "no".
What’s that you say, there’s free porn on the internet? Why haven’t I been told about this?

    Magic.

It's not only a hobby as I get paid for shows, but I treat it as a paid hobby rather than a 2nd job.

Books, props, DVDs etc. I love it!

I was really into magic for a couple of years - like anything, practice is much more important than gear but my god some of it is cool (especially as you never quite know what you'll get when ordering!)

Photography for me. I love it - I don't have horribly expensive gear but it's far from cheap.
Definitely - and the skills perish far more than musical ones.

A month of not practising certain skills and it all falls apart. Can't jam slight of hand in front of an audience!

Fits and starts, Woodworking as a hobby can involve some expensive hand tools and even move expensive machines. Like 'guitarering' it can be done quite adequately on a budget, but shiney and expensive can be tempting and likewise way beyond my skill level.
I classify wood and metal working tools as part of my guitar hobby.

Oh I mangle old pallets and all sorts into unrecognisable junk. I've made stair gates, shelves, racks, planters, a whole shed, benches, furniture, garage doors. Not had the courage to actually make anything as refined as a guitar yet though so props to you.

Home Studio and guitars mainly....but I do tend to buy all sorts if Im interested....Hi Res Audio is the latest Fad

Hi res audio is a waste of money, anything above CD quality is imperceptible to humans.
Thats a bold statement given the size of the audio market...

Also largely dependent on how you quantify ‘quality’- brick-wall mastered CD versus more sympathetic and dynamically mastered hi-res audio (or vinyl)? I would suggest that on that basis many cds are of a significantly lower quality than either. It’s not a waste of money if you can see value in it, and a lot of people can

I used to do a lot of trackdays and hill climbs in my old Lotus Elise. Now that was an expensive hobby (£500 a weekend just in tires)
I also do trackdays (no hillclimbs though) in an Elise and the costs do add up. However, my tyres last much longer than a weekend (not trying hard enough perhaps?) and the Elise is much lighter on consumables (disks, pads, fuel, tyres) than the Mk3 MX5 I had before that. The fact that it breaks down rather a lot which limits the number of trackdays I can do also helps keep costs in check ;)
I would run with slicks or semi slicks.

To be fair I used to play league cricket until I was only capable of a totally lamentable standard.

Mastering for vinyl and CD are completely different animals, your not really comparing like with like.

Hi-fi’s pretty limitless in terms of upper limit. And it’s infinitely tweakable. Great hobby for sinking money.

My main hobby seems to be filling space in the house with stuff that I've convinced myself I'll get around to at some point in time but never seem to. I thought it was just guitars, but now synths and board games. It's a competition with the missus, she's doing her best to fill the place with wool at present.

As already mentioned, cars is my other money pit. I like to change mine more frequently than a) necessary, b) healthy and c) financially astute. I don't do track days but have a Eunos in the garage that I tinker with and fit new bits to and will use occasionally in the summer. Main car, replaced today, will get more stuff added to it that isn't strictly necessary but will (in my head) be useful or an improvement.

I'd love a proper workshop for car maintenance, woodwork and metal work, but that would really mean moving house which really would be an expensive change.

Very cool - I used to be into magic a while back. I always found that the magic itself was easy to learn, but the patter was a different ball game altogether, often providing the majority of the misdirection in addition to sleight of hand. I wasn't very good at it but its still nice to crack out some tricks at parties - when everyone's drunk anyway, and therefore less discerning   Much respect for you being able to stand up infront of a crowd when everyone's scrutinising your every move. There's always that one c*** who interrupts you and thinks he has it all figured out

I read all of that....it's interesting and no doubt factual, and I have to say that my experience of Deezer Hi res and another provider I tried didn't really make me want to spend £££ on downloads...I did find that ripping a CD to my AK SR15 player and using Focal cans was a good listening experience....I also tried a pair of cans 3 x the cost and honestly couldnt tell much difference.

As I said originally....Hi res audio is my FAD at the moment....it will no doubt pass and I'll move on to 4k TV ....oh no !....another wormhole no doubt.

    Cricket.
Like @Gasage ; I adore the game. Each year I buy a new pro level bat and loads of kit. I am lucky to be sponsored by a few brands so I get a hefty discount.
Still, I buy new gears all the time

This is a real hypocrisy to my lifestyle which is more akin to reuse and buy second hand. I can't stop myself! A new bat is like a new delay or modulation, just can't get enough.

Gloves and pads have to be pristine white.

I have to confess to hypocrisy but cricket gears has me by the balls....
If I had talent, I'd be talented.
    Red meat and functional mushrooms.
    Persistent and inconsistent guitar player.
A lefty, hence a fog of permanent frustration

Not enough guitars, pedals, and cricket bats.
