Anyone here design studios or knows how to?

So I'm in a state of flux at the moment. We're thinking about moving house and there is a garage there that I can convert. I know how that will look/ be laid out etc. The problem is if we decide to stay where we are. If we do, I need to make the room I'm in better. Anyone have some good knowledge and can help me out?

 It depends upon what results you need to achieve / your budget.  If you need best results, and have the budget required, then engaging a professional at the outset will save you time and money in the long run.

If this is a 'home studio' project then I'm happy to pass on some tips as to how you may get better results with best layout and some DIY acoustic treatment.

Plenty of info on You tube for this...if you can cut wood and screw screws in your half way there...
