Sunday musing what if

What's Hot
Chilling on a Sunday afternoon listening to the radio and had a thought, what would be the state of music if broadcasters including YouTube Spotify etc were banned from playing music which was written by deceased writers? So no covers of old songs just music written by a still living person

We’d get even more audience members complaining that we don’t play songs like they are on the record.

I'd prefer to hear music from dead people .. it tends to be better .. but then I'm an old git.

  • There'd be no Zappa on the radio, so for me nothing would change and I still wouldn't listen to the radio.

I only listen to TalkSport, and - with the possible exception of Alan brazil - they don't tend to broadcast much by dead people.

No Beatles, so you'd be stuck with the sugary bilge of McCartney's solo career....

    And Ringo's.
