Well, you could always use 4G on your phone.
Exactly. If IT are blocking images and you have a desperate need to see them use your phone. Or use your phone anyway so they don't know what you are browsing when you should be working.

It's a work phone that comes with it's own restrictions, poxy iPhone 6 that has a battery life of approximately 6 minutes and 23 seconds. Also, Agent Smith has installed some kind of control apps that limit it's use.

Sounds a bit draconian. Where do you work, GCHQ?

Well, I do work at a critical national infrastructure plant...can't say anymore it's all a bit hush hush

We have social media blocked at our place, which is a children’s home, the kids just VPN their phones, it’s daft.

Work wi fi just decided to block the thread about Boss pedals as pornography. Although apparently it's alright with this Discussion. So, what's going on in that thread... :anguished:

Most Firewalls use a 3rd party block list, so you cannot just blame IT, but we can create a white list :)

My workplace blocks access to Twitter on work computers, yet they have an official company Twitter account.....

That sounds like our place a few years ago.  The management sent around a DVD with a propaganda video on it, but no-one could watch it because all the optical drives in our computers were disabled.

The problem with you millenials is that going  to work is about working. If you are goofing off on the Internet all day then tough fucking luck if they turn it off for you.

I've never had this forum blocked, but I've had some TGP pages blocked (for adult content if I remember correctly).

Ironically, TGP doesn't allow access if you use a VPN
Unlikely. More like Adblock or something to do with your browser settings.

...seems the media get rather confused at the millennial demographic thing as they seem to include people from 1990 to present day - that is almost a 30 year (and on-going) thing. Whereas us old baby boomers demographic was strictly categorised as 1946-1964 = 28 years
