I’ve just finished watching Dr Michael Mosley’s latest, “The Placebo Experiment” on BBC2.  Absolutely fascinating, and if you didn’t see it, watch it on iPlayer.  It’s a real eye-opener into the very real power of the brain to generate it’s own pain suppressants more powerful than the strongest pharmaceuticals.

Unbelievable results from placebos, which continue even after the patients are told they’re taking them.

I love Michael Mosley - everything he’s done has been riveting.

Where do The Vaccines fit into all this? Presumably the best option?

Doesn't work with a broken leg.  Ive been taking these sugar pills for weeks now and its still flopping around the same as the day the tractor ran me over.  Its started to go a bit green though, is that a good sign?

The placebo effect is absolutely fascinating.

And if it's that effective on pain, imagine how effective the Placebo Effect is on hi-fi spending.
