Finishing unfinished tweed

Hi gang, any advice Ona quick, easy and hard-wearing solution? My amp is a Fender Bassbreaker 15 which has unfinished grey tweed - marks and dirties very easily, any scuff comes up very light against the dark covering. Would be fine if it wasn’t on show downstairs...

Had thought to try something like Osmo Polyx Oil, which is designed for wood but is very hard wearing (I’ve got some in). Any easy wins here??

Grey tweed seems like a good, wife-pleasing option on the surface but is looking decidedly less presentable than even the most basic tolex!

Surely a lacquer coat or two would sort that?

I wouldn’t even know where to start finding the right type - is there are particular brand??

Could @RiftAmps possibly recommend a clear lacquer for the job? Maybe the same stuff I use would work nicely

Amber shellac then ronseal diamond hard clear varnish will sort it!.

Dunno about amber shellac on grey tweed ! Perhaps just lacquer......

I’ve seen a couple done with just hard glaze Ronseal, seems to work fine.

Clear sander sealer de-nibbed between 4 or 5 coats works well. Shellac is good if you want colour.
