No. Unless its a special ‘free listing day’ offer.
But its really the ‘final value fee’ you want to avoid.

Yes, watch for the final value fee, typically 10%....ouch !
Ebay are increasingly offering £1 final selling fee offers, watch for these offers.

Absolute farce and a slap in the face to business sellers who follow the rules/law. What legitimate "private" seller needs 1000 listings a month?

It's a big kick in the teeth for affiliates /advertisers too, because if a seller doesn't pay final value fees, we get paid nothing. As if ebay weren't stingy enough already.

Lots of users have been getting free listings for years - the 1000 a month thing is new to all, but I think people who did a certain volume were given 100 a month for quite some time now.

As said above listing fees are paltry it's the 10% commission followed by PayPal 3.6% that screws you
