Echo and the Burundimen - Zimbo Live at WOMAD 1982 with the Royal Burundi Drummers

I'm on a bit of rediscovery of great live recordings at the moment and this one has always been a favourite. For me it's the best version of Echo and the Bunnymen's 'All My Colours (Zimbo)'. Recorded with the Royal Burundi Drummers at the WOMAD festival in July 1982, included on the 12" of The Cutter Single in 1983.

Sounds great, very powerful. This is the only copy I could find on YouTube, no video unfortunately.

Echo and the Bunnymen had some epic live versions of their songs going on round about that time. Crocodiles, Do It Clean and maybe my favourite - Over the Wall

And that combination of Pete de Freitas and Les Pattinson.... Such a crucial component of their songs.
