So, me and a few FB's and people we trade with off of here went to see Tommy at Shrewsbury last night.
JD Simo was his support and to say they were incredible is an understatement.
JD played a Pel Blue 355 direct into a 1966 Vibrochamp and sounded like SRV and BB King combined! And his voice is fantastic.
Tom played 3 Maton acoustics all di-ed.
Tommy- he'd spilt his forefinger on his picking hand but played at a level no-one else can ever play. Loads of tricks like drum brushes on mics and guitars, sang, talked, engaged and all with a degree of humility that's rare.
It was so good you just want to give up.
However, half way through, he played a simple open D. At that moment I bonded. It was the only thing he played I could possibly have ever managed.
Incredible. Just go see him. He's the 8th Wonder of the World.

He is so very humble , gently humorous and so incredibly talented that he makes a guitar sound like a 1 man orchestra
last time I saw him was last year the very night his brother died.
