The price is steep, and £1500 would probably be about right imo, given the condition and the changes. Dealers in the states have had them at $2500 albeit in much better condition than this one. I had one and sold it to George Harrison* about 16 years ago for £950. I was well chuffed as I’d only paid £350 for it a couple of years before that. But they do go for silly money now because of the rarity and the Beatles association. I think they are pretty dreadful guitars to play, very heavy and dead-sounding, not much like a proper Tele.


* The George Harrison in a Beatles tribute band, obvs.

Yea super rare but he claims "I went through many of them and this is the only one I've ever seen with this wood configuration." He must be very well travelled and connected me thinks.
