Please forgive my tardiness. Will square away.
Am very nervous about playing. Only played at one jam event, enjoyed it in a very insular (I am not here right!) way. Was happy playing rhythm trying not to be noticed. 
I may sit there, quietly, and not play, but I may put my hand-up if swollen with enough tea and bravado. 

Happy to just to meet, chat, and learn as much as anything.

@FastEddie - there are so many great riff based songs (with no solo!) to choose from, I am sure we can get you up playing and enjoying it! Those of us who have been/still are in a similar place to you, can attest to the benefit of these jams, and the help and encouragement that the more accomplished players provide.

@FastEddie there are loads of 3/4/5 chord wonders available, most of which you could learn in 5 minutes on the day if you wanted. Don't sweat it!
